How Solar Venting Works
Simply Solar Greenhouses utilizes a sophisticated solar venting system powered by cylinders filled with synthetic beeswax. As the greenhouse heats up during the day, the beeswax expands, causing the vents to open and allowing hot air to escape while fresh air enters. This solar venting mechanism operates automatically, with the temperature at which the vents engage customizable to suit your specific needs. The result is a greenhouse that adjusts to changing weather conditions, automatically regulating internal temperature by opening and closing without the need for manual intervention.

Our Greenhouse Models
Hobby Model
- Our Hobby Model is our smallest one-piece greenhouse, making it perfect for gardeners with limited space who still want to grow their own vegetables, herbs, or flowers. It is built to the same quality standards as our larger models.
Dimensions and Features
It measures 7 feet 3 inches tall at the center, 6 feet 8 inches wide at the base, and 7 feet 9 inches long. These dimensions often fall within the guidelines of Homeowner Associations, but we recommend checking with your specific governing unit for confirmation. The Hobby Model has two roof vents that open in opposite directions when the preset interior temperature is reached. This offset design allows the vent hood to catch a breeze regardless of the direction from which it is blowing.
No electricity is required to operate the solar-operated cylinders. The cylinders are filled with a synthetic beeswax-type material that expands when warmed by the interior heat of the greenhouse, maximizing airflow. The front door (25-¾” x 66”) includes a 19” x 24” window for summer airflow, while the rear window (25” x 31-½”) swings open for additional cross-ventilation. Together, these features create a naturally balanced environment ideal for plant growth. Optional accessories, such as misting systems (single or double-sided) and hanging rails, can be installed before delivery to enhance convenience and performance.

Gardener Model
- Our Gardener Model is our most popular greenhouse, ideal for gardeners who need extra interior space. It provides the perfect environment for starting vegetable seedlings or annual flowers in the spring. This model also helps protect plants from pests and harsh weather conditions such as hail, strong winds, or irregular rainfall. The spacious interior, easily customizable by the homeowner, offers room for a potting bench, allowing you to work comfortably, or a garden bench where you can sit back and relax.

The Gardener Model stands 8 feet 3 inches tall at the center, 8 feet wide at the base, and 14 feet 11 ½ inches long. The front door measures 25 inches wide by 74 inches high and includes a drop-down window measuring 19 ¾ inches wide by 28 inches long. A rear window that swings open to the side measures 25 ¼ inches wide by 35 ¾ inches long, providing additional ventilation.
This model comes equipped with two solar vents that automatically operate when the preset interior temperature is reached. The Gardener Model offers more than 2½ times the cubic space of the compact Hobby Model. You can make use of the generous ceiling height by adding an optional hanging rod that runs the full length of the greenhouse—perfect for hanging baskets of strawberries, herbs, or even tomatoes. Its generous size also allows you to divide the space into multiple functional areas—such as a potting and growing section, a composting or fertilizing area, space for small animal husbandry, or a setup for heat-sink systems.
